Tanga Tanga Response To Raila’s Calls On DP Ruto to Follow Jaramogi’s Example & Resign

Following his call on the Deputy President William Ruto to do the most honorable thing and resign like Jaramogi Oginga did, Legislators allied to the second in Command have refuted ODM Leader Raila Odinga’s sentiments on the DP.

Speaking earlier today Friday August27, 2021, to journalists from his Nairobi’s Karen home, the former prime minister criticized the deputy president for attacking the same government for which he is part.

The Orange leader urged the DP to do the honorable thing and resign if he feels displeased with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s current regime that he deputizes.

He gave an example of his late father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga who resigned while in disagreement with the Late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s administration in 1966 leading to his resignation.

Taking online Deputy President William Ruto’s brigade took on Raila head on led by Senators Kipchumba Murkomen and Susan Kihika telling him off Odinga for asking the DP to quit his position.

Kihika revisited Raila’s tenure as the Country’s Prime Minister in President Kibaki’s regime, claiming that Odinga was dissatisfied with his involvement in the former head of state’s government but failed to resign.

The legislator cited Odinga’s earlier days of constant whining about the the quality of toilets and the half red carpets he was treated to while maintaining that Ruto will stay put.

“Your father was not elected, he was Kenyatta’s appointee. As PM you complained about the quality of your Toilet and Carpet (nusu mkate & mkeka) you didn’t resign yet you were merely Kibaki’s appointee. He’s staying put,” Kihika stated.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also attacked Mr. Odinga noting that his human rights and rule of law standards have diminished, since going to bed with the Jubilee regime.

“Only 3 years ago you swore yourself in as a parallel President. Now you are cheering those attacking the DP. Kalonzo is running away because you would do worse to your DP,” the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator asserted.

Kipchumba continued that the DP will stay put for the remaining one year, while readying to treat his deputy well should he become the Kenya’s fifth President.

“Even if you undermine the office and the institution, HE Ruto will restore the dignity of that office when his Deputy will be in. God is preparing him to treat his Deputy better and with dignity,” Murkomen stated.

This came just two days after President Uhuru Kenyatta had also asked his Deputy to exit the government instead of criticising its failures and associating himself with the positives.
