State House dispatches Kangata to buy Revenue Bill Support

Jubilee Majority Whip in the Senate Irungu Kangata has been dispatched by state operatives to ensure the Revenue Bill marshals enough support on Tuesday.

According to sources, the Muranga Senator has 20M shillings to splash on Senators Sakaja (Nairobi), Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet), Khaniri (Vihiga),Kindiki (Tharaka Nithi) and Ekal Emana (Turkana).

”Jubilee Majority Whip Irungu Kangata has been given 20M by State House to splash this weekend on Senators Murkomen, Sakaja, Kindiki,Khaniri and Turkana Senator to sway them to support his Revenue Allocation Bill on Tuesday in the Senate,” our source confided to this writer.

Last night, Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja met with his Tharaka Nithi counterpart Kithure Kindiki at the latter’s Karen home after rejecting Senator Kangata’s offer.

It is believed President Uhuru Kenyatta wants the Revenue Allocation debate closed as he races against time to not only ensure the Handshake and BBI succeeds, but also to complete the mega projects he has launched across the republic.

The Nairobi Senator and his Makueni counterpart Mutula Kilonzo Jr last week rallied 23 Senators to give the government a thrashing defeat in the Senate over the emotive Revenue Allocation Bill.
