Deputy President Willam Ruto has blasted ODM leader Raila Odinga and the OKA principles for distracting President Uhuru Kenyatta from delivering on the Big Four agenda.
Speaking when he attended a church service at A.C.K St. Luke’s Wang’uru Church in Kirinyaga County, Ruto accused Odinga and his former co-Nasa principals of taking advantage of the nullified BBI initiative to distract Jubilee Big Four Agenda.
“I would ask those leaders who entered the government as a result of the handshake, that now the clamour of the BBI has been quashed, please allow the president to deliver service for the 45 million Kenya. There is no point to continue hijacking the president to level that he can no longer run the government,” said Ruto, linking his remarks to Friday’s Court of Appeal Judgement which upheld the nullification of the Building Bridges Initiative.
He claimed Odinga and his former National Super Alliance (NASA) principals current political predicaments is a result of not supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta to complete his legacy projects and instead they are prioritizing their 2022 presidential campaigns.
He advised the leaders to go on and craft policies that they will present to Kenyans ahead of next year’s general election.
The Deputy President has in the past hit out at the former NASA principals for derailing projects and development that the government had planned to be carried out across the country, hence, causing the four years of standstill in terms of development
