Deputy President William Ruto has been tweeting a lot lately. Woe unto you if you are on the receiving end of his rants.
But he took his gloves off and warmed the hearts of Kenyans online when on Wednesday, November 20, he celebrated his wife’s birthday with a sweet message.
The DP hailed his wife, Rachel Ruto as his pillar in life and that she was his greatest gift in life.
“Happy Birthday my lovely wife, best friend, confidant and companion, Mama Rachel.
“You are the greatest gift of my life, my peerless supporter and a distinguished mother to our lovely children. I am proud of you,” posted the DP.
Rachel, who was born in 1968, turned 51 years old on Wednesday and has been married to the DP for 28 years.
Rachel grew up in Kakamega and attended Likuyani Primary School before proceeding to the renown Butere Girls High School.
DP Ruto has on a number of occasions used Twitter to respond to his critics and to declare any news item not favorable to him as fake news – Like US President Donald Trump, the DP has opted for the popular micro blogging site to tussle with opponents.
The second in command said Twitter offers him the much needed space to handle his critics properly – he claims the platform offers him the much needed remedy to deal with critics.
