Ruto Ally Claims More Mt Kenya Politicians Will Dump Uhuru For UDA Before January

More is on the way and things should only be expected to get better in Deputy President William Ruto’s camp, Belgut MP Nelson Koech has said.

He says that Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru’s entry into the DP’s camp is just the beginning and Kenyans should prepare for even more of such henceforth.

The lawmaker, an ally of the DP, says that even bigger names will be seen decamping from other camps and joining the UDA party in the coming months.

By January, he told The Standard, the camp will be packed with big political figures, a realization of Ruto’s plan as he seeks to form the next government.

“The DP is keen to bring all on board and in the coming months until January we are likely to see even bigger names joining the hustler nation,” the vocal parliamentarian is quoted.

He says that Ruto’s plan is to get his hands on whoever he can, a plot that he admits is so far working, adding that the intention is to win in the 2022 elections with a very big margin.

But he also states that there will be no displacement and that those who have been with the DP and the new entrants will peacefully coexist in UDA.

“Essentially his strategy is bring new people on board but also maintain those who have been loyal to him in this journey. All he wants is a clear victory in 2022 with a wide margin,” the legislator is further quoted.

But his remark comes at a time when the DP’s earlier prediction seems to have failed to realize, after he said that almost all Jubilee members from the Mt Kenya region will have joined UDA by November.

He had said that a mass exodus will be witnessed. But so far, only a few new leaders have joined him, with November being only a few days away
