The Former Minister for roads and veteran politician Franklin Bett has disclosed the biggest mistake that the Deputy President William Ruto did that angered President Uhuru Kenyatta and the cause of differences within the ruling Jubilee party.
According to reports by the Standard media, Franklin revealed that the biggest mistake DP Ruto did is to allow his foot soldiers to insult the Head of State.
Franklin also blamed Ruto for failing to control his allies adding that the DP never reprimanded his allies despite seeing them taking the president head-on, claiming they have numbers against the President.
Bett further questioned the DP what exactly the said numbers were meant for? Enlighting him (Ruto) to be aware that President Kenyatta is hitting back.
“Ruto made a big mistake to allow his foot soldiers to insult the President. He never reprimanded them when they claimed they had numbers. Numbers for what? Numbers against the President? Uhuru is hitting back,” reads Bett’s statement.
Bett also informed the second in command about the unity of Rift Valley political leaders that could soon complicate his presidential bid.
“The Rift Valley will now become noticeably fragmented for Ruto, the ground in which he hitherto could be the boss would shift, ” Bet added.
