Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) leader Raila Odinga has ruled out appealing the decision of the High court on the much anticipated Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) judgement that will be delivered in an open court on friday.
BBI proponents, led by president Uhuru Kenyataa and Raila Odinga, filed petitions at the appellate court, seeking to overturn the May 13 decision by the High court that shot down the BBI push on grounds that was geared towards intiating changes to the constitution.
But speaking during a morning show on Nam Lolwe Fm on Wednesday, The ODM leader said they will not move to the supreme court to challenge an unfavorable rulling but will instead concentrate on revisiting the initiative when they form the next government in the upcoming 2022 General elections.
“If they stop BBI we shall leave it at that and start preparing for the upcoming election, we shall bring it back in the new government. We dont want to waste time going to the supreme court,” Raila said.
The ODM boss dismissed claims on planning a parliamentary to sneak in some of the BBI proposals.
