Raila Odinga Offers Needy Students Chopper Ride To Maranda High School (VIDEO)

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga offered a Form One student joining Maranda High School in Siaya County a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in form of a helicopter ride to the school.

A picture surfaced on social media of the student, yet to be identified, walking away from the chopper like a spy agent with his bag on his back, which has since gone viral.

Videos and photos obtained by Kenyanreport.com then showed the student in the company of Odinga. Initial reports had indicated that Odinga had ferried the student on the basis of being from a humble background.

Many had claimed that it was the student’s parents who had chartered the aircraft for the luxury trip but it was Odinga who was behind the chopper ride.

The helicopter was a proven means of transport that is known for toppling traffic jams with ease as well as the mess brought about by Kenyan roads, made worse whenever schools close and resume.

Odinga is a notable alumnus of the school that is very special to him. During the 2020 KCSE exam results, the school produced two candidates out of a list of the top 15.
