Raila Odinga in Nyandarua after night meeting with President Uhuru

ODM leader Raila Odinga is currently meeting top leaders from the Mt Kenya region in Nyandarua county, hosted by the county boss Governor Francis Kimemia. Those attending the meeting include Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi, Kirinyaga Senator Charles Kibiru, and a host of MPs, including Maina Kamanda and Esther Passaris who accompanied the former PM from Nairobi.

According to a source at the meeting, ODM leader Raila Odinga is coming up with a line-up and identifying individuals who will spearhead the BBI Campaigns in the Mt Kenya region. On Thursday night, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former PM held a three-hour meeting at State House, Mombasa. It is believed from the meeting, Odinga and Uhuru identified individuals whom they believe will strongly sell the BBI in Mt Kenya.

Earlier on, the Head of State had played host to ODM candidate for Msambweni parliamentary seat Idd Boga at State House in Mombasa. This was confirmed through a tweet from the ODM party stating that the president held a meeting with ODM aspirant for Msambweni by-election Iddi Boga at state house in Mombasa.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta today hosted our candidate Omar Idd Boga at State House Mombasa. He was accompanied by our DPL @HassanAliJoho” the statement reads. The meeting was also attended by ODM party Deputy Leader Ali Hassan Joho.

Deputy President William Ruto and his Tanga Tanga brigade are said to be rallying their support behind the Independent candidate Feisal Abdallah Bade.
