ODM leader Raila Odinga made startling revelations at the burial of business Mginyo Kariuki, when he said how he taught Moses Kuria politics at his Bondo home.The event, held at Tigoni in Limuru, Kiambu county was also graced with several leaders including KANU boss Gideon Moi, ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka among several others.
”Nginyo Kariuki came with Moses Kuria in Bondo and we taught Kuria some politics, unfortunately he still a student, he is still learning,” Raila Odinga said.
Raila hailed the former politician cum businessman as a close friend who transcended political and tribal boundaries to work together with every Kenyans. Nginyo Kariuku, an avid golfer was one of the most prominent golfers in the country. Previously, Odinga conveyed the president’s apologies revealing the head of state had skipped the burial because of the coronavirus emergency.
“I will begin by bringing apologies from His Excellency the President. This burial was to take place Thursday but the family upon request changed it to day so the President could come. Unfortunately due to the corona virus visitation, some appointments were rescheduled and he could not make it,” Odinga stated.
On his part, KANU leader and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi mourned the businessman and politician Nginyo Kariuki, says he was a tactical politician full of wisdom and a man who never liked corruption. He also revealed it was Kariuki who introduced him to eating Nduma.
