President Uhuru Kenyatta is mourning the death of Kericho County Deputy Governor Susan Kikwai who passed on while receiving treatment in Siloam Hospital in Kericho County.
The head of state has sent a message of condolence to the family of the late Kericho County Deputy Governor Susan Kikwai and the residents of Kericho County following the death of the Deputy Governor.
In his message of condolence, the President described the late governor as a devoted public servant who was deeply committed to the progress and well being of Kenyans.
President Uhuru also praised the Ms Kikwai for her role as the Managing Director of Kenya Investments Authority (KENVEST) saying that she highly promoted Kenya as an attractive destination for foreign and local investment.
“Susan was a great public servant. While working for the National Government, she was instrumental in attracting various domestic, regional and international investments,” the President stated.
This comes after Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony had issued a statement, announcing the death of his deputy, Susan Kikwai.
Governor Chepkwony said the late Susan had been admitted to the Siloam Hospital in the county four days ago with severe acute respiratory syndrome and was placed on respiratory support.
The late Deputy Governor died on Saturday, March, 20,2021 at 9:15 am while receiving treatment at Siloam hospital in Kericho County.
