President Uhuru Kenyatta takes matters into his own hands with urgent action

In the wake of Senate Majority leader Irungu Kang’ata’s letter and open rebellion from some of his most trusted allies and with intelligence reports indicating that all is not well for the President’s agenda in the Mount Kenya region, President Uhuru Kenyatta has this morning responded swiftly, taking matters into his own hands.

Amid rising political temperatures, President Uhuru Kenyatta is this morning holed up in a heated interview in a bid to set the record straight for his Mount Kenya region and Kikuyu community support base.

The candid interview comes in the wake of escalating tensions and divisions within the Jubilee party that saw his deputy William Ruto fire back, answering him for remarks he made during the burial of Musalia Mudavadi’s mother that perhaps a different community should take the mantle of Kenya’s leadership apart from the Kalenjin and Kikuyu communities that have ruled since independence.

The President is currently hosting Kameme FM crew of Gatonye Wa Mbugua and Muthee Kiengei at State House for a live interview in which he is setting the record straight in a bid to marshal the country towards unity and shared prosperity, silence the political rhetoric and vitriol churned by the Tanga Tanga Tanga brigade allied to DP Ruto.

An advertisement for the interview seen by indicates that the head of state will give an update on the State of the Nation, focusing on BBI and National development.

Preliminary reports indicate that the interview will be conducted in his local Kikuyu dialect in a bid to appeal to the support base not to fall to cheap politics peddled by the Tanga Tanga brigade but instead stay focused on the quest for unity.

This comes barely a day after Senator Kangata maintained that his letter reflected the reality on the ground, adding that he has no apology to make and claiming that he had since been congratulated by politicians from across the political divide for his boldness.
