Popular South Mugirango Member of Parliament Sylvanus Osoro has finally broken his silence addressing the claims doing rounds on the Social media of his involvement in the money laundering scheme.
The legislator made it to the list of individuals in the country with questionable character involved in the dirty under deals of getting rich quickly done by renown blogger Edgar Obare.
Taking to his social media page, the lawmaker clarified the allegations after the Obare expose noting that he earns an honest living and works hard to make his legitimate money, and even go broke like any other Kenyan at times.
The Deputy President William Ruto ardent supporter went on to note that he does not have and has never bought a house in any high-end suburbs of the Nairobi City County as was alleged in the expose by Obare.
“I work hard and sometimes I go broke like any other person… you people are even saying I bought a house in some upmarket estate that I don’t even know about, give me the keys to that house I move in,” the MP stated.
He added that he does not own any petrol station, club, barbershop or salon as was also alleged in the viral expose by the Tea Master as some of the businesses named as rampantly involved in the shady engagement.
“Let’s stop telling these false and malicious stories. I don’t own any petrol station, I don’t have a club and I don’t even know how alcohol tastes like.”
“I don’t own a barbershop or even a salon. Please stop peddling these lies,” the South Mugirango lawmaker stated.
His sentiments come barely a day after Kiss 100 radio presenter Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o had also refuted the claims in the Obare expose on Monday August 30, 2021.
Speaking in the morning talk show with his co-host Kamene Goro, Jalang’o said he was not a party to any syndicate involved in printing and distributing fake currencies in the Country while swearing by his father’s grave.
The expose has since led to the deactivation of blogger Edgar Obare’s Instagram account, with the blogger giving a statement on the state of the account today.
Reports from the outspoken blogger indicate that his account was deactivated by the Instagram Management but plans are under way to have it restored to its earlier state.
“My Main account has been deactivated, working to get it restored. Meanwhile we already prepared for such outcomes and I can also be posting here” said Obare via his BNN Instagram account.
The Tea master went on to caution his fans and followers to avoid all accounts currently operating under his name terming all of them a fake.
“All accounts with my name are fake, Report Please” said Edgar Obare.
