Plane Crashes in Naivasha

A plane believed to have been surveying the locust invasion has crashed in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

The incidence which happened on Monday evening, July 12, 2021 at Ndabibi area, in Naivasha left some people dead with two others seriously injured. 

Reports have revealed that the aircraft was monitoring locust invasion in the region when it crashed under unclear circumstances. 

The incidence was confirmed by Nakuru Deputy County Commissioner Steve Mwonge.

According to the eye witnesses, the aircraft was making bizarre sound before it crashed down.

In a video recorded by the people who were present at the scene, people who were present at the scene of the incident could be heard narrating that one of the bodies of the deceased had burnt down to ashes.

“One of the victim’s head burst open and the body is completely burnt,” the witness narrated.

The residents of the region used sand to put out fire and moved debris and other burnt plane material trying to identify the victims of the accident.

The incident comes a few days after a chopper belonging to the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) crashed in Kajiado County killing soldiers who were on board.
