New details have emerged on Deputy President William Ruto’s high profile meeting with Kisii delegates at his Karen home in Nairobi.
The Second in Command reportedly had an engaging session with political leaders from grassroots and opinion leaders from Kisii County at the Karen Residence.
Those who graced the Second in Command’s meeting include; Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, Bomachoge Chache Member of Parliament Alfah Miruka, South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro, Former South Mugirango Member of Parliament Omingo Magara, Judge of the East African Court of Justice Charles Nyachae, Lawyer Cliff Ombeta, among other high profile leaders from Kisii County.
The Deputy President speaking after the meeting, stressed that leaders must show commitment and work together and offer credible leadership.
The second in command also reiterated that leaders should come up with well grounded opinions that will serve the citizen’s interests rightfully.
“Leaders must step up and commit to working together. They must offer authentic leadership and come forward with well grounded thoughts that will rightly serve the interests of the people. Efforts to place the economy central to our agenda will further reunite and rebuild our country,” DP Ruto stated.
The DP’s competitors from One Kenya Alliance (OKA) leaders also had a meeting in Naivasha to strategize on the fast-approaching 2022 General Election.
