ODM party raises eyebrows over DP Ruto’s association with strange characters

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has raised questions about Deputy President William Ruto’s close association with individuals with questionable characters.

On Wednesday, August 5, 2021, the Raila led party questioned as to why Ruto hosted strange characters at his house and office.

The Orange party accused the second in command of associating with people with alleged bad intentions for Kenyans.

“We will keep asking why a holder of such high office hosts strange characters at his house and office. We are not as ignorant as the yellow-clad characters hosted at the Karen residence today,” the statement read in part.

In its statement, the party accused Ruto of allegedly using the opportunity in Jubilee Government to loot from the poor Kenyans instead of implementing the bottom-up economic model during his term in office as the Vice President.

The ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna further accused Ruto of being the main cause of problems facing the ruling Jubilee Party.

“Despite what they say, the truth remains that the problems in Jubilee begin and end with DP Ruto. None other than Jubilee Party Leader H. E Uhuru Kenyatta has said as much,” ODM claimed in their statement.

ODM also dismissed Ruto’s bottom-up economic model, saying that it has nothing good to offer to Kenyans.

“They have chosen to blame their self-inflicted problems on everyone but themselves,” the statement read in part.
