ODM leader Raila Odinga goes back to Nairobi hospital

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Monday, March 29, 2021 went back to The Nairobi Hospital.

The former Prime Minister reported back to Nairobi Hospital for a routine check-up after his admission in the facility a few weeks ago.

“He passed by the Nairobi Hospital for a normal check-up. He is not sick. He is very much okay,” stated a source that pleaded for anonymity.

This comes after Raila had disclosed that he had tested positive for Covid-19 just days after travelling from the Coastal Region.

The Opposition leader was then admitted to the Nairobi Hospital for days for treatment.

Raila had released a video on his social media page showing him undertaking light physical exercises at his Karen home, Nairobi after he was discharged from the hospital.

“I am feeling wonderful. It is so nice to be back home, I was in a prison back there. Even though I’m still in isolation, I can now see the beautiful outdoors and nature,” Raila said.

Raila has been visiting the facility for the routine checkups on his health as was advised by his doctors.

“His doctors wanted to see him. He was attended to and allowed to go home and continue with the self-isolation,” Oburu Odinga confirmed.

On Friday, March 26, 2021, Raila posted a photo of himself sitting at home reading a book with an Oxygen concentrator right next to him which had raised public concern.

Odinga was first admitted at the Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 after he complained of body ache, fatigue, and other symptoms where it was established that he was Covid-19 positive.
