Norman Magaya condemns News of his Demise, says he is Well and Recovering after Raila flew him to India for Treatment

ODM leader Raila Odinga personally took it upon himself to fly Norman Magaya to India for specialized treatment. This was after the NASA CEO’s condition was not making much of improvement despite being in and out of Nairobi Hospital, from 2017. However, there were rumors on Tuesday that Magaya had passed on, something that he came out to strongly dismiss.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale on Tuesday said the ailing National Super Alliance (NASA) Chief Executive Officer  has settled in India and is under care of competent Doctors and has been checked into the best facility in the country. Etale said the party was optimistic Magaya will be well in due time and urged the public not to spread rumors which may affect Magaya’s family.

“Our brother Norman Magaya has settled in India in readiness for the specialized treatment that took him there. He is in high spirits and confident that he will come out strong and healthy. As we continue praying for his full recovery, online mercenaries should stop being insensitive and desist from posting untruths about his condition,” said Etale in a post on Facebook.

Last week on Sunday, statement by ODM communication director Philip Etale said Magaya will be out of the country for 12 to 15 days and that he will be under the care of a panel of expert doctors.

Etale said his party remains committed to supporting Magaya in his medical journey and wished for his quick recovery.

“The Orange party continues to stand with our luminary through this process until his return,” the statement concludes.

Magaya has been battling a recurrent heart attack at the Nairobi Hospital.
