Nairobi Governor aspirant Richard Ngatia has today received a unanimous endorsement for his march towards the City Hall job from residents of Nairobi’s Westlands constituency.
The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president who is seeking to be the fourth governor of the country’s capital city county was given a clean bill of health by residents in of the constituency as he seeks to replace current governor Ann Kananu at the helm of the country’s commercial and administrative capital.
Speaking during a meet the people tour at the Friends Quaker’s Church in Kangemi, Ngatia thanked the residents of Westlands constituency for believing in his vision for the county and choosing to go with him in the sojourn to reclaim Nairobi’s lost glory by way of casting their vote at the August 9th, 2022 general elections vowing to ensure that money gets to people’s pockets through the sustainable economic transformation and growth that he envisions.
“We have the capacity and capabilities to make Nairobi a great place to do business and live in. We only need to listen to what Mwananchi is saying about their plight and use our experience in business management to ensure that the business environment is transformed for the better. This is what I am promising you when I get to City Hall,” Ngatia told the meeting in Kangemi.
The area member of Parliament Tim Wanyonyi is also vying for the Azimio la Umoja ticket to vie for Nairobi Governor position.
The residents of Westlands constituency vowed to elect Ngatia owing to his business acumen noting that since in the Azimio la Umoja Movement, a national outlook was the holding adhesive, they will choose to follow the choice of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner Orange Democratic Party (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
“I want to say that we will walk together and in August, together, we shall transform Nairobi,” Ngatia said.
