Mutula Kilonzo embarrasses Murkomen as Senators dramatically clash over Sonko’s impeachment

The impeachment of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko saw Senators take to Twitter in an epic clash that saw them exchange words, leaving some casualties along the way.

The fire was sparked by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who stated that the impeachment was sponsored by the state and procured by force, a comment which attracted the wrath of Mutula Kilonzo Jnr.

“Gov. Sonko’s impeachment mirrors Waititu’s. It is state-sponsored. 2/3 threshold not achieved. Fraudulent figures announced. Impeachment is procured by force. Luckily Sonko has documented evidence well but don’t rely on Senator Orengo &Mutula with a call from above can do anything.” Murkomen wrote.

Mutula Kilonzo Jnr silenced Murkomen by pointing out that he is turning into a siren, yapping their names at will.

“Mutula and Orengo again. You have become a siren” wrote Mutula.
Kericho’s Aaron Cheruiyot chimed in, defending Sonko and pointing out that he has faith should the impeachment get to the Senate.

“The numbers game begins. Sonko has shown us videos of his 57 MCAs, The speaker says 88 voted in support. From the Waititu experience, @MikeSonko should seek justice in the courts. If it gets to the floor of the senate….Shamba la wanyama…” Wrote Cherargei.

Kilonzo Jnr reminded him that the same Senators he was condemning will be around when he needs their help.

“These colleagues you besmirch with Murkomen will be around when you need help. Karma” Slammed Mutula.

Sonko was impeached yesterday after 88 MCAs voted to send him packing.

In an interesting twist, Sonko claimed that the numbers were inflated and paraded several MCAs who he maintained did not take part in the voting that was presided by assembly speaker Benson Mutura.
