The ruling Jubilee party Vice Chairperson David Murathe has trashed the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi’s bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Mount Kenya spokesman, names who will be the President’s successor after his term comes to an end.
As the 2022 general polls approach, quite a several politicians seem to be concentrating on playing a key part in determining who will be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successor as his term comes to an end after serving for two terms.
The bone of contention now is President Uhuru Kenyatta’s succession in Mt. Kenya as several political leaders are stepping forward to replace him.
One of the leaders ready to replace the Head State from the Mt. Kenya region is national parliament speaker Justin Muturi, who was crowned today as Mt Kenya’s spokesman.
Jubilee Party vice chairperson David Murathe has, however, come out to criticize Justin Muturi’s actions, disclosing that the next national Assembly speaker will not come from the Mt. Kenya region.
Murathe claimed that during the head of state’s meeting with Mt. Kenya leaders at Sagana in Nyeri, the community had already agreed on the official Mt. Kenya spokesperson.
Murathe also revealed that the community chose President Uhuru Kenyatta to be the community’s spokesman after 2022.
Distinguished Jubilee Party politician also revealed Muturi’s secret plan is to be the next country’s deputy president.
“He wants to be vice president because the Mt Kenya region would go for the position for whichever presidential candidate it supports,” he revealed.
