The ruling Jubilee party Vice Chairman David Mirathe has spilled the beans on Raila Odinga’s led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party tough condition to President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee party before signing the 2022 pact.
Political leaders from different sections in the country have started to strategize on the way forward as the 2022 general elections are fast approaching with President Kenyatta’s term coming to an end in few months.
The leaders like Deputy President William Ruto and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have been expressed their interest in succeeding the incumbent President.
The Deputy President and his political opponents are expected to offer decent competition in the forthcoming general election as the ODM Party leader and his team are busy preparing a 2022 working pact with the ruling Jubilee party.
New details have now emerged on the main demand that Raila and his team have given to Jubilee and the Head of State before signing the 2022 package.
Speaking during an interview, David Murathe disclosed that Raila’s led ODM party demands Jubilee to stand strong and remove all the moles before walking together in political agreement.
Murathe also stated that the Jubilee party is working on plans to transform the party and give it a new identity adding that as part of the reorganization, the party will conduct fresh nominations in all areas to remove those who defected to the UDA party.
