Since Friday’s shocking and unexpected ouster of former KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua, the most puzzling of all has been the accusation of Mutua’s secret scandalous improprieties with a young lady board member by the name Gathoni Kung’u. This has been particularly surprising because, over the last couple of years, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, who was nicknamed Deputy Jesus, has continued to shout about good morals and upright behaviour. If these scandals are indeed proven to true, it will be quite hypocritical for the man who has shamed others for sexual misconduct, advertising violations, and licensing irregularities among others.
Following reports of Dr. Mutua’s Friday ousting, it emerged that subsequently, EACC has launched a probe into Ezekiel Mutua and a Board Member Ms Gathoni Kungu over alleged Irregular payments of Salaries and Allowance.
The anti-graft commission asked the film board to facilitate them with relevant documents to conduct the investigations in which the CEO is alleged to have paid himself millions outside the set salary and allowances pointing out to a massive corruption.
It is now emerging that while Gathoni Kung’u is still quite youthful, she is an old hand in the game, and has been in the industry for quite a while.
