Mike Sonko makes abrupt-turn, praises President Uhuru months after impeachment (Photos)

Former Nairobi County governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has made an abrupt turn heaping praises on President Uhuru Kenyatta months after his ouster from his County top job.

Taking to social media the former County boss accompanied his post with pictures, while noting that aside from politics, the head of state would leave behind a track of development.

Sensing his followers and friends would question his U-turn, the former Makadara legislator stated that the post was done without coercion or arm twisting but only to appreciate the president’s good work that forms part of his legacy.

“Jokes and politics aside. Musiseme hii ni kufinywa., hakuna kufinywa nilifinywa. Truly speaking Jamaa anachapa Job.” Sonko noted in the post that was accompanied by photos of the head of state launching several projects.

Sonko who has been a fierce critic of President Uhuru surprised many by his turn highlighting a few projects done by President Uhuru.

Among the projects Sonko named are the Nairobi’s Expressway from the JKIA, The Standard Gauge Railway, The Greenpark Bus Terminus and several Stadia constructed under Uhuru’s guidance.

Sonko also noted President Uhuru’s tremendous contribution in solving the perennial landlessness by issuing of title deeds.

Uhuru’s administration has steered the Country through scales of development rescuing it from the shackles of corruption by weeding crooks from his government.

Among those he axed in the wave of suffocating corruption and scandals are former Treasury CS Henry Rotich, former Kenya Power Company Managing Director Ken Tarus and his predecessor Ben Chumo.

Rasid Echesa (former Sports CS) and Mwangi Kiunjuri (former Agriculture CS) were also relieved of their duties in the presidential crackdown on state officials who had opted to engage in early politics instead of delivering the big 4 agenda.
