Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has shocked Kenyans after ghe lost decorum and hurled unprintable words at The Standard.
In an angry post on social media, the governor took issues with the Wednesday copy of The Standard that run a cover story that read “The Wailing Governor” detailing Sonko’s theatrics.
The county boss shared a picture of the publication, writing: “KUMANINA ZENU GAZETI NI ZA KUFUNGA NYAMA. Instead of using taxpayers money to give free masks and sanitizers to the public during this COVID-19 period you are busy buying headlines against me. SHAME ON YOU KUMANYOKO NYINYI SIKU YENU ITAFIKA”.
The publication detailed how Sonko has turned into a cry-baby instead of delivering services to Nairobians.
Sonko has constantly been whining in his battle with Nairobi Metropolitan Services boss, General Mohammed Badi.
This is not the first time that the county boss is clashing with members of the fourth estate when not impressed by their coverage of news.
On 05 November last year, the governor was caught on live TV physically assaulting a journalist at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) offices.
At the time, the Governor had appeared at the EACC headquarters to clarify on information he gave that enabled him to vie for the gubernatorial seat two years ago.
