Miguna Miguna declares his bid for 2022 Presidency to stop DP Ruto from succeeding Uhuru

Controversial Lawyer Miguna Miguna has declared that he will vie for the presidency in the 2022 general elections to stop Deputy President William Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to the exiled lawyer, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is dead politically and vowed to vie for the Country’s top seat even if he is in exile in Canada to bar.

“Raila Odinga is politically dead. The KANU Cerelac Babies are swimming in mud. I’ve to vie for the President of the Republic, even from exile, to stop William Ruto. Viva!” he said.

His move has comes as a surprise to many since his recent social media posts revealed him inclining towards supporting the deputy president especially after he congratulated the hustler nation candidates for winning the mini polls during the Juja, Bonchari and Rurii by-elections.

“Let me congratulate Moses Kuria, William Samoei Ruto, PEP and UDA for winning in Juja and Nyandarua,” Miguna stated.

This is not the first time Miguna Miguna is trying his luck in politics while in exile.

This comes after the outspoken lawyer contested for Nairobi Gubernatorial seat through Thirdway Alliance in 2020 in vain.

The National Chairman of the party Miruru Waweru had claimed on Monday, December 28, that the self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general was the ideal leader who would solve the leadership crisis in Nairobi County.

“Dr Miguna’s candidature is not separate from the virtues which he has fought for and which remain the hallmark of his public and private life; integrity, visionary and transformative leadership, elimination of corruption and development for all,” the statement read in part.
