A woman in Gembo,Kisii County is nursing stab wounds after she was attacked by her lover who later committed suiced in a love gone sour.
The woman’s lover who was identified as Richard Gitebe is said to have split up with his girlfriend sometimes back.
According to Kisii County police commander,Francis Kooli said the deceased locked his girlfriend in a rental house in Kisii before attacking her using a maasai Sword.
“The man attacked and stabbed her severally using a maasai sword in a rental house they had occupied, and thought she had died before he consumed pesticide and died on the spot,”he said.
The lady who narrowly survived death was rescued by the member of the public who rushed her to Igembo hospital for treatment.
