Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has revealed that he has been receiving a lot of strange messages from women days after announcing his separation with his wife, Lilian Ng’ang’a.
While speaking during an interview on Jalang’o TV on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, Mutua disclosed that he has been getting numerous private and revealing images and messages from women on his social media pages.
“I have received very many DMs from women some are very funny…you know. People have even sent me some body parts and such things,” Mutua stated.
The Governor, on Sunday, August 15, 2021 had issued a statement on his separation from his wife and now former Machakos First Lady, Lilian Nganga after years of marriage.
Mutua also said that he still has close relationship with his former wife as was displayed during the Governor’s 50th birthday party attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga, on Sunday, August 22, 2021.
The Machakos County boss further revealed that he will contest for the top seat in the forthcoming 2022 presidential election.
“I have a good track record, as you see what I have done in my county. I am best suited for the job and if the youth vote for me, I will be the next president of this country,” Mutua stated.
He noted that Kenyans would avoid going to Machakos as there had been no economic incentives and that his county was notorious for hunger, lack of water and basic necessities for its people.
“Nobody used to go to Machakos. People would only pass Machakos as they travel to Mambasa and not bother to visit our county. You would only hear about people starving in Machakos,”
“I was able to do a few things that have revolutionized Machakos County. Those changes have brought tourism to Machakos, expanded the business community, built a stadium, and women were able to advance themselves economically. I expanded the agricultural sector and dug over 600 boreholes, more than all the other counties combined. I have built roads and built over 720 dams. As we speak, Machakos is no longer on the list of counties receiving food relief,” Mutua stated.
Mutua stated that he bought 80 ambulances in order to provide free emergency transportation in the county, so as to ease emergency services.
“Mothers in Machakos now have dignity as they can deliver safely and not have to use a motorcycle to transport them to the delivery location,” Governor noted.
