Maanzo; Ruto has a secret list of preferred UDA candidates, some of his close allies aren’t on it

In what is likely to cause jitters in the tanga tanga wing of the Jubilee party, and among members of the United Democratic Alliance party, Makueni member of parliament Dan Maanzo has now come out with incredibly sensational claims. The Wiper Democratic Movement party legislator has claimed that the Deputy President has a secret list of those who he wants to see vying on the UDA ticket, and some of his closest allies who are always frequently spotted accompanying him on his countrywide tours aren’t on it.

Maanzo said this while appearing on Citizen TV’s morning show Daybreak which was hosted by Sam Gituku. Also on the show was Orange Democratic Movement party Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, Kitutu Chache member of parliament and Ford Kenya party member Richard Onyonka, and former Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi.

While expounding on the topic of intra-party democracy within the country which the show’s hosted had floated, Maanzo said that there is lacking party democracy in the country and this is a serious problem that needs to be looked into.

Dismissing almost all parties that purport to have sound democratic structures, Maanzo, who is also a lawyer, claimed that UDA, which is the newest kid on the block has a big deficiency of party democracy.

He said that the party’s defacto leader, DP William Ruto, has an unseen list on which there are names of those he intends to front as candidates in his party, come the 2022 elections. Maanzo went further ahead to claim that some of the DP’s most ardent followers and sworn loyalists are not on the said mysterious list.

Portending dark days ahead for the party which the DP intends to vie for the presidency on, Maanzo predicted that when it will become clear to some of DP Ruto’s allies that they stand no chance as long as they’re in that party, it will lead to a major fallout that will occasion a huge walkout of the aggrieved members.

It’s worth noting that recently, an uproar of sorts was witnessed in Murang’a among members of UDA after it seemed like the DP had endorsed Senator Kang’ata for the county’s gubernatorial seat, and he had to come out and allay their fears.
