Amani National Congress ( ANC ) deputy party leader and Lugari mp Ayub Savula has shocked Kenyans after revealing plots by Raila Odinga led ODM party of plotting to dethrone Musalia Mudavadi as the ANC party leader.
Savula yesterday claimed that a senior official of the ODM party had approached him that they already had willing delegates in place ready to impeach Mudavadi and install him(Savula) as the Party Leader.
The second time Lugari MP claimed that the senior ODM official was spreading propaganda that Musalia Mudavadi was now working with Deputy President William Ruto and as such they had valid reasons to have been removed from his party.
“I have received an invitation by our affiliate ODM party in NASA through one of the top officials, that I engage in some activities against my party leader Musalia Mudavadi. The gist of the matter is that they have arranged some ANC delegates that were to help me overthrow my party leader. As a second time MP who vied for the first time using the UDF party and now the official ANC deputy party leader in parliament, I am sure the aim of these people is to destabilize Musalia Mudavadi in Western Kenya,” he explained
Ayub Savula remarks comes at a time when Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula is also battling to retain his position after some of the party officials led by SG Eseli Simiyu organised a coup to dethrone and replace him with Hon Wafula Wamunyinyi.
The revelation also comes amid separate reports that William Ruto held a meeting with Mudavadi and Wetangula with a host of Luhya MPs on Monday morning, June 1, at the DP’s official residence in Karen before Ruto attended Madaraka Day celebrations at State House, Nairobi.
The rumors on Ruto-Mudavadi pact have gathered pace and attracted the national attention following claims by the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) Board Director Makau Mutua that talks to have an alliance between the two already underway.
