Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen took a swipe at ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi over his remarks and the party stands on the Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala ouster.
Taking to his official Twitter handle hours after Mudavadi issued a statement, the vocal DP Ruto senator was quick to poke holes in the Mudavadi sentiments and the party position.
“Kiongozi, between ODM that merely removed Malala from Senate Leadership and you who in June last year expelled Malala from the ANC Party, who committed the worst sin?” Wrote Murkomen.
This is after the former Lugari legislator vented on the decision by the Raila-led party to eject Malala from his Senate deputy minority leader position.
“The decision by ODM to oust Kakamega Senator Cleophas Wakhungu Malala as the Senate Deputy Minority Leader is regrettable. This is an affront to democracy and all its tenets. 1/3” Tweeted Mudavadi.
The move has since been connected with Malala’s role in the recently concluded Matungu by-elections where he campaigned for an ANC candidate.
“While all manner of excuses will be floated, it is clear to all of us that Malala was removed because of his role in the recent Matungu by-election where the ANC candidate, he campaigned for, won with a landslide. I am proud of my Senator and I stand with him totally.” Continued Mudavadi.
Senator Malala was hurriedly ejected from his senate deputy minority leadership position yesterday 23, 2021, during a NASA parliamentary group meeting.
Following his removal from the position, the ANC leader vowed to revisit the issue, in what appears as planned revenge.
“We condemn, in the strongest terms possible, the removal of Senator Cleophas Malala from the position of Senate Deputy Majority Leader. Senator Malala was appointed into that capacity as a NASA representative. We consider this as a hostile action from ODM and will not take it lying down. We will revisit,” said ANC via its official Twitter handle.
