Kiambaa Member of Parliament Paul Koinange is dead

Kiambaa Member of Parliament Paul Koinange has passed on at the Nairobi Hospital.

His death was confirmed by his family members who stated that the MP succumbed to the COVID-19 related complications while receiving treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.

Koinange was elected as Kiambaa Member of Parliament during the 2017 General Election on a Jubilee Party ticket.

The Kiambaa lawmaker was also serving as the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security in parliament.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has condole with the family of the late Kiambaa Member of Parliament describing him as a dependable leader who was a keen and steadfast supporter of Kenya’s peace agenda as the Chairperson of the National Security Committee.

Other leaders also took to their social media and posted messages of condolence to the bereaved family members of the late Paul Koinange.

Starehe MP Charles Njagua wrote: “Saddened to receive the news of the demise of honourable Paul Koinange; MP Kiambaa constituency. My sincere condolences to his family, friends, and constituents. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed mourned: “Deeply saddened by the untimely demise of my friend the Hon Paul Koinange. My condolences to his family and constituents of Kiambaa, the Jubilee Party, and the nation he served so diligently.”

Matayos lawmaker Geoffrey Odanga said: “My condolences to the family, friends, and people of Kiambaa, following the death of Hon Paul Koinange, MP Kiambaa Constituency…May his soul rest in peace.”
