Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala In Mourning As Death Strikes

Kakamega County Senator Cleophas Malala has been thrown into mourning following the sudden and untimely demise of his Personal Assistant and Senior Researcher known by the name Abel Timona Kachu wa’ Sisungo.

Taking online on his official handle, Senator Malala broke the sad news disclosing that Mr. Kachu passed away yesterday(Wednesday) in the Evening following a deadly road crash along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

“I have learnt with great shock and sadness the sudden passing on of Mr. Abel Timona Kachu wa’ Sisungo to a grizzly accident along the Nakuru highway late last evening.

Until his demise, the late Kachu has been serving in my office as my Personal Assistant and Senior Researcher… His dedication, generosity & leadership will be greatly missed.

On behalf of my office, and the great people of Kakamega County, I wish to express my heartfelt condolence to his family, friends and relatives as we come to terms with his untimely demise” reads Senator Cleophas Malala’s statement.

Other leaders from political quarters and beyond were also touched with Kachu’s sudden death, with quite a number expressing their shock and sadness at his death as below.

Led by Deputy President Dr. William Ruto who described the late Kachu as a brilliant, amiable and industrious man who rose above politics, not forgetting his immeasurable contribution to changing the lives of people.

“Our heartfelt thoughts to the family, colleagues and friends of Abel Kachu Sisungo, a brilliant, amiable and industrious man who rose above politics.

Kachu was politically savvy and keen to change the lives of his people in Bungoma. This was seen through his valuable contributions during our recent Western Kenya Bloc Economic Forum. We will miss his stamina for knowledge and orientation to detail.

Take comfort in knowing that Kachu is now resting in the arms of our Lord. Rest In Peace my friend” reads DP Ruto’s Message.

The Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula was also net left out eulogizing Abel Kachu as a diligent and hardworking man with great promise. The late Kachu having been Senator Wetangula’s research director at sometime.

“It’s with shock, pain and sorrow that I have learnt of the death of my former research director Abel Kachu from a grisly motor accident on Nakuru highway. He was a diligent, hardworking young man with great promise. May his soul rest in eternal peace” wrote Senator Wetangula.
