Ambassador June Ruto the eldest Daughter to the Deputy President William Ruto has currently had his account suspended following what has since been termed as suspicious activity.
The Kenyan diplomat had her Twitter Account the enjoys over 6,000 followers suspended days after it had posted a comment on the reshuffling of the second in command’s security detail.
A current message on June’s account search leaves a “Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules.” result.
This is after a comment on the recent re-organization on the DP’s security detail through the handle associated with the ambassador pointed to an entitlement to the security protection by the father.
The DP’s daughter cited a National police standing order, pointing out that the GSU commandant is responsible for the security of the President and his Deputy.
“The Kenya National Police Service standing orders, Chapter 8 section 5(e), GSU Commandant shall be responsible for security to the President, the DP,” the account posted.
The seemingly controversial Tweet had so far received over 2000 likes, including one from her eldest brother Nicholas Ruto.
Her brother has never been left out on talking about the father’s woes, with the lawyer on August 27, 2021 posting a “If anything happens to my father, then we know why.” Wrote Nick.
Nick then followed the tweet with: “A divorce proceeding involves a CIVIL filing of a petition in COURT, or before ELDERS. COURTS or ELDERS preside over a divorce proceeding. One cannot preside over his own divorce petition. The truth is that Uhuru Kenyatta is ABUSING and BATTERING William Ruto.”
The DP’s security woes have since deepen with the interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i On Wednesday September 1, giving details on why the reshuffle did take place.
CS Matiang’i detailed to the National Assembly Committee on Administration and National Security that Dr. Ruto donated some of his officers attached to him to a legislator in the Coastal Region currently facing murder charges.
He also added that the seemingly over supplied DP was also doing the same to yet another ally from the Rift Valley, who has since been charged with hate speech. The two law makers had their security detail withdrawn.
Reports privy to the details indicate that the DP was donating 4 security officers, 2 to each Member of parliament to help guard them.
Dr. Matiang’i went on the record explaining to the National Assembly’s committee that the Inspector General of police withdrew the officers from the politicians to avoid putting the them (officers) in conflict.
“You cannot get officers and tell them to go and commit a crime or to accompany the leaders as they commit the crimes,” Matiang’i told the MPs.
