Inside plot by major political parties to isolate and finish DP Ruto politically

Things get thicker for Deputy President Willliam Ruto after major political parties ganged up against him in a move to clip his wings in the upcoming by-elections in Kabuchai, Matungu, and Machakos County.

The DP has in the recent past been in a recruiting mode preparing to flex his political muscles with others in fielding candidates in the mini polls.

The Tanga Tanga brigade through their new party United Democratic Alliance has been preparing to field candidates in all the upcoming by-elections.

Their rivals have opted to withdraw their candidature for coalition partners under the handshake umbrella to increase chances of success.

The move leaves the DP to battle it out with a united ANC, Wiper party, and the Ford Kenya in the by-elections to reclaim the seats formerly lost from the death of their family members.

The DP’s quest to pull a Msambweni stunt in the upcoming mini polls recently led to a fall out in his new UDA party after it summoned interested candidates in Nairobi to select the flag bearer.

The outfit recently suffered a major setback after seven MP aspirants stormed out of the party meeting amid claims that the party had duped them into attending a meeting with a pre-chosen candidate for the Matungu by-elections.

“We got surprised when all of us met at Muthama’s office in Gigiri. We were then told to move to Muthama’s home in Runda where we were asked to drop our ambitions in favor of Alex Lanya Wamukoya,” Wakoli told Nation.

In solidarity with the handshake partners and ensure continued tranquility with the BBI partners, the Jubilee party through their Secretary-General Raphael Tuju decided not to field candidates in the by-elections.

“During this period of constructive engagement with other parties in the spirit of BBI, it has been found prudent that we keep off the by-elections,” Tuju said.
