Heavily guarded security as Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga makes his way to represent uhuru in the seventh Annual Devolution conference that commenced today at the Makueni Boys High School.
Raila’s arrival at Makueni for the devolution conference was met with high security. Raila is representing the head of state who is currently in South Africa for official duties. However, since the start of the conference the deputy president and his allies have given the meeting a cold bath despite being invited to the conference.
The conference’s theme is in line with the climate change summit recently concluded in Glasgow Scotland where world leaders committed to facilitating a clean environment, and in Makueni National and County leaders are expected to commit to channelling funds to facilitate climate action implementation.
On the other hand, Deputy President William Ruto will tour Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties on Today, as he seeks to endear himself to the electorate ahead of the 2022 General Election.
The second-in-command will begin his Wednesday schedule at the Kapsabet show ground before attending the Kapsabet market groundbreaking ceremony.
He will then attend the opening of the Emgwen TTI in Nandi before making two more stops in Uasin Gishu, at Chebolol and Kesses.
