Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper party has written a letter to Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana summoning him to appear before its disciplinary committee next week.
Reports reveals that the Governor is expected to give an explain as to why he should not be expelled from the party.
Wiper party has accused Kibwana of undermining his party boss Kalonzo Musyoka and not respecting the party.
In its letter, the party has given Governor Kibwana a 14-day ultimatum to appear before the disciplinary committee scheduled for next week.
However, Kibwana has downplayed the move by the party alleging that the planned disciplinary action against him has been heavily influenced by his recent endorsement by elders from the 22 Kamba clans for his 2022 presidential bid.
Speaking in Wote town at the Governor’s residence, the Akamba Clans Governing Council led by the Chairman Boniface Kilonzo and the group’s Secretary General Davis Maike praised Kibwana saying he has the interest of the community at heart.
They also stated that Kibwana beats the rest of Kamba leaders, including Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who have since declared their interest for the top seat.
The Kamba elders further noted that the Makueni Governor stands in a better position to negotiate for goodies on behalf of the community.
