Gerald Bitok exposes private details from his days in bars with Mudavadi

As the race to 2022 gets closer and more intense, it appears that the politics that will go along with it is getting dirtier and more murky. This has been evidenced this weekend by none less than Pastor Gerald Bitok.

Pastor Bitok, a staunch and self-confessed supporter of the Deputy President William Ruto, began by making it clear that the time he was talking about was way back before he got saved and began administering the word.

He said that way back before he had seen the light and gotten saved, he would frequent a place in Riverside called pots and palms with Musalia Mudavadi.

He was speaking on Radio Jambo’s weekly political show Mazungumzo Wazi Wazi which is hosted by Bramwell Mwololo. Others also invited alongside him in the studio were lawyer Brian Weke, former nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, analyst James Mwangi and Amani National Congress party official Mulama.

Bitok revealed that whenever he would meet Mudavadi at pots and palms, which is a bar, he would always tell him to man up and change his style of politics. Although he confessed that he admires the polite and gentlemanly demeanour of the former Vice-president, Bitok went on to declare that Kenyan politics is for the tough and hard-nosed.

“I always kept telling Mudavadi that politics sio kanisa (politics is not a Church). I, for instance, am a pastor, but regularly I have to shove aside my pastoral part and get entangled with the rest”

He went ahead to pour cold water on Musalia Mudavadi’s recent forays into Central Kenya where he has been focusing his energies in a bid to improve his political chances for the forthcoming 2022 general elections.

He said that Ruto had, at the moment, made massive gains, and that if Musalia was going to see any change in his fortunes, then he would have to be more aggressive. He finished by reiterating that Musalia’s downfall was going to be his soft style of politics.
