Fresh details of a woman who breached Interior CS Matiang’i security emerges

New details of a woman who recently breached Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i’s security, causing drama in Nyaribari, Kisii County have emerged.

Video of a woman believed to be the same woman has surfaced online showing a past incident where she also breached the security of the former Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko demanding for help.

The woman, who identified herself as Christine after the Matiang’i incident, appears as deaf and expresses her grievances to the former governor in sign language, as a translator interprets.

The video emerged just hours after she came out publicly to reveal why she wanted to speak to the Interior Cabinet Secretary in Nyaribari area.

Christine claimed that she wanted to address the CS over the increasing cases of insecurity in the region and that the police officers were not proactive when residents reported the cases.

“We have raised the issue with the County Commander and the County Commissioner on a number of occasions and asked them to transfer some police officers, but it is yet to happen,” Christine stated.

She stated that some officers were working with lawbreakers citing a case where two headteachers were burnt beyond recognition inside their houses.

“I was so shocked when I was beaten up by the security detail. I did not want to borrow money from the CS, but wanted to pass across the important information,” she stated.

In her defense, Christine argued that she knows Matiang’i and they have once talked on the phone.

“If indeed I wanted money from him, I would have just sent him a message because we know each other, but that was not what I wanted,” Christine said.

Kisii County Commander, Francis Kooli, swung into action with the assistance of the junior officers stopping Christine from reaching the Interior CS.

“The police commander most likely knew what I was going to tell the CS because I had reported the issues to him a number of times. That could have been the reason why he beat me up.”

“If indeed I wanted money from him, I would have just sent him a message because we know each other, but that was not what I wanted.” She stated.
