Drama as Jeff Koinange’s interview cut short after military raid

Award-winning Kenyan media personality and news anchor Jeff Koinange was earlier today caught by surprise after his interview was cut short by a military raid.

Jeff was interviewing the Ugandan Presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi wine when suddenly the officers raided his Kampala home.

The interview was on the upcoming Ugandan general elections scheduled for January 14th, 2021, and the tragedy struck six minutes into the interview with Hot 96 FM.

This forced the politician to cut short the broadcast to rescue his security who were descended on by the uniformed men.

“I am sorry because as we speak I am being raided by the military. I have to end the interview because I can see soldiers beating my security guards and I have to go down and give it attention,” the politician said before cutting the transmission.

Bobi was sharing the violence that has marred the electioneering period in his bid to dethrone Museveni with over 500 of his campaign team already detained.

“I have been campaigning in a bulletproof jacket and a ballistics helmet because I have survived three assassination attempts,” he told Jeff.

On winning the polls, Bobi said that all that counts now is the Ugandans to vote and their voices heard.

“Whether or not Museveni concedes defeat is really not our business. Our business is to ensure the people of Uganda cast their votes and their voice is clear.”

Bobi is hopeful of carrying the day on the election date, with approximately over 17.6 million Ugandans planning to cast their votes on the election date.

Museveni has been using a lot of force on Bobi’s supporters with a number of them dying in the process.
