In a dramatic turn of events, award-winning Esther Akoth alias Akothee clashed with Kenya power officials at her Migori home over what appears to be forceful entry into her premises.
Through a statement, Akothee noted that the team failed to identify themselves, and did not make any official communication about the assignment they were to undertake there.
Akothee acknowledged that there were numerous power cables passing through her compound, that the team said they wanted to work on.
She however added that the team wanted to seize the opportunity to take a picture of her private mansion.
“I don’t owe you anything, you have no right to force yourself into my home without my permission,” Akothee posted on Instagram.
“Come and move out all the wires passing through my compound so you can be accessing them anytime you feel like,” she posted.
The abebo hitmaker threatened to swing in action when next such a thing happens again because the team intimidated to cut the power supply to her house.
“When we call you for emergencies you don’t even respond so what’s the urgency for ?” Akothee questioned.
The President of the single mothers has been a darling of the power distributors since being slapped with an accumulated bill of 1.6 Million shillings.
She has since had prepaid meters installed so she could monitor her power consumption better and properly to avoid such incidences.
