DP Ruto’s team reveals his next plan after being asked to quit

Amid rising political temperatures and pressure mounting from leaders allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta calling for the resignation of Deputy President William Ruto and his exit from the Jubilee party, his (DP Ruto’s allies) have revealed the next step.

The Tanga Tanga MPs allied to the DP stated that Ruto will not resign from the Government and Jubilee Party.

The declaration comes amid reports that all is not well in the party with the DP making use of every available opportunity to criticize a government in which he is the second in command.

Ruto was conspicuously missing during the National Covid-19 Conference that was held on Monday, September 28 in Nairobi and attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Opposition Leader Raila Odinga among other leaders.

Legislators allied to the President have accused Ruto and his team of sabotaging the government and its agenda and that he is also planning to refuse to concede defeat if he lose in 2022 elections.

DP Ruto’s brigades have however chosen to push the Head of State to dissolve the government and the parliament to allow for fresh elections to be conducted after Chief Justice David Maraga had advised Kenyatta to dissolve the parliament for failing to enact the Two-Thirds Gender Rule.

The DP found himself an outsider in his own government and has complained on several occassions.

Sources within Jubilee Party revealed that the DP and his allies are considering contesting on former CS Mwangi Kiunjuri’s The Service Party.

Aden Duale’s Reforms and Development and the New Democrats Party linked to ex-MP David Sudi are also being considered as alternatives.

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargey stated that most Ruto allies were not afraid of going back to the ballot, arguing that they were assured of a win.
