Deputy President William Ruto took the ruling Jubilee party head on while responding to his hustler nation’s winning streak in the recent Juja and Rurii by-elections held yesterday.
This is after his UDA linked party candidate Francis Muraya won the Rurii ward polls beating Jubilee party’s Peter Thinji and other candidates.
In the Juja’s race to replace the late Francis Munyua Waititu alias Wakapee, People’s Empowerment party (PEP) candidate George Koimburi had already taken an early and currently on the verge of being declared the next legislator.
The ruling party also lost it in the Bonchari by-elections with ODM’s former energy and petrolium boss Engineer Pavel Oimeke trouncing his Jubilee counterpart Zebedeo Opore in a hotly contested race.
In his shared message on social media, the second in command went ahead to give his next agenda after the big win in the by elections.
While congratulating his squad for the good work, Dr Ruto also thanked God for his hustler team victories in Juja and Rurii and the great show displayed in Kisii’s Bonchari.
“We thank GOD for Hustler nation VICTORY in Juja & Rurie and the AWESOME show in bonchari. A big CONGRATULATIONS to all our hustler TEAMS for a sterling PERFORMANCE against all odds. HONGERA our competitors, let’s keep it ISSUE BASED and PULL together. Sasa tupange uchumi na Big4”.Wrote Dr. Ruto.
The victory in Juja almost cost Moses Kuria his life, with the vocal DP Ruto supporter taking to Facebook while sharing his near death experience during the voting process.
“This tragic story of 18th May 2021 will require a lot of energy to tell. It will be told for generations to come. For now all we can say is at this hour 3.42am on 19th May 2021, we are still stuck at the Mangu High School. We are not sure when we will leave this centre. That we escaped death by a whisker last evening is the most vivid proof that God is indeed still in the throne. We need your prayers above all else” Kuria wrote.
