Deputy President William Ruto has given Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana one of his choppers, to use in spreading the anti-BBI gospel in Ukambani region. On Sunday, Governor Kibwana landed in his county in the helicopter registration number 5Y DSN which belongs to Ruto.

The Governor was accompanied by former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama who has been instrumental in persuading him to join the Ruto 2022 team to drum up support for the DP. The two leaders were attending the burial of Sebastian Mailu, a son of Agnes Mailu, who is a former Makueni MCA.

Speaking at the funeral, Governor Kibwana called on Makueni residents and the larger Akamba community to reject the BBI Report saying people were ignorant of the content of the document and as such should not support it.

“It is wrong to ask people to submit their signatures and to endorse the BBI report when they are ignorant of its contents. Those pushing for endorsement of the BBI should first seek views from the community on what is in the amended constitution that will benefit the community,” the Makueni Governor said.
