Deputy President William Ruto has been dealt a major blow as his Mount Kenya ally has changed tune and is now supporting Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) and advocating for the suspension of the 2022 general polls.
The United Republican Party (URP) Nominated Member of Parliament in Mathira Ben Paul Njoroge has thrown the Second in Command’s 2022 presidential ambitions under the bus after announcing his unwavering support to everything that President Uhuru Kenyatta has sponsored including the BBI project.
Speaking during an interview at Inooro Tv the Dp’s allied MP alleged that it’s so sad that the second in command is still poisoning the minds of the Mt. Kenya region people and Kenyans at large, regarding the contentious Building Bridges Initiative that was birthed after the famous handshake.
The lawmaker also alleged that there is a group of leaders who are now orchestrating violence as the 2022 polls are fast approaching, adding that the BBI referendum must go on as planned.
“Kamau, I can tell you for free that even though am a Tangatanga, that doesn’t mean that I should follow him blindly,” he stated
“If you want to visit your nearest bank please do because BBI has and is more important compared to a general election. Our people have been suffering and we can’t afford to let this good opportunity go,” he noted.
