DP Ruto reveals his new political strategy ahead of 2022 presidential election

As the race to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta gains momentum, Deputy President William Ruto has revealed his new political strategy ahead of the 2022 general elections.

The second in command has stated that he will not negotiate with ethnic and regional kingpins as part of his new strategy for the race to the state house.

DP Ruto instead, has opted to go for grassroots campaign that is aimed at empowerment ordinary Kenyans economically.

According to his statement during his three-day retreat with Mount Kenya leaders, the DP claimed that the current political model has only captured the interests of politicians while ordinary Kenyans has been left out.

“We must engineer a fundamental paradigm shift from the perennial politics of personalities, positions and power to a candid, open and frank engagement with the people on the economy, their aspirations and their future, Ruto said.

The Jubilee deputy party leader has announced his new political strategy that will focus on ordinary Kenyans as opposed to the current system that only favours politicians.

He also emphasised on the need of adopting his new ‘bottom-up economy’ economic model instead of the current trickle-down economic model.

Ruto further criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta’s trickle-down economic model claiming that it has left out almost half of the Kenyan population in economic empowerment.

The DP praised his new proposed bottom-up economy as the best that will solve the unemployment issues and revive the Kenyan economy.
