New details have emerged on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Amollo Odinga’s late night meeting with the Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi ahead of the 2022 General polls campaign plans.
Report now indicates that the problem between the ODM leader Raila Odinga and his ANC counterpart Musalia Mudavadi who previously vowed not to work or support the opposition chief again is slowly returning to normal after countless meetings with President Uhuru Kenyatta and the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals.
The ANC party leader has been on the front line lately when it comes to criticizing Raila after the nasty fallout in Nationa Super Alliance (NASA), which has resulted in the two camps blasting each other over timidity and conman ship allegations.
Mudavadi is one of the One Kenya Alliance coalition’s principles whose leaders have been under pressure from President Uhuru Kenyatta to drop their presidential bids and support the former prime minister in the race to Statehouse.
Inside sources privy to what is happening behind the curtains, revealed that the two leaders are busy mending the fences to an extent of holding secret meetings with one held in Nairobi on Sunday 15 August at night.
The meeting agenda that was also reportedly graced by KANU leader and the Baringo senator Gideon Moi who is a key principle in One Kenya Alliance, Cabinet Secretary was to break the ice and strategize on how to unite and work as one team.
Moi has been witnessed as the man trying to help President Uhuru Kenyatta to convince his fellow OKA co-principals to support the former prime minister in his presidential bid.
Modi reportedly stressed the need for the group and Raila to come together against their main competitor Deputy President William Ruto during the OKA retreat in Naivasha.
“He (opponent) to is extremely resolute in what he wants by whatever means possible. So let us not delude ourselves here. When we say that we are going to do something we do it no matter what, ” Gideon reportedly stated.
It has also been established that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the main antagonist in OKA and Raila’s unity negotiations, and is dissatisfied that the Head of state and Raila haven’t been including him in their agendas.
