Details of mass exodus from Jubilee planned by DP Ruto’s team

Hours after the Party’s Nakuru branch summoned the DP amidst claims of gross violation of the party laws, things get sour in the parent Jubilee party.

The DP and his allies are planning a mass exit from the ruling outfit with plans underway to discipline the party rebels.

The party through Nakuru County branch Secretary-General Peter Cheruiyot presented the DP with a show-cause letter, detailing going against the party laws and regulations.

The party cited among others the DP’s misconduct for fronting and supporting UDA candidates in the Nakuru County’s Hells Gate and London ward mini-polls, against the Parent Jubilee party.

Confirming the issue Nandi senator Samson Cherargei said that UDA is the way to go, and Ruto and his allies are waiting for the opportune time to bolt out of the Jubilee.

“All indications are showing UDA is the vehicle Deputy President will use in 2022 elections,” he stated, days after it emerged the party was setting up a major regional nerve center in Eldoret, Ruto’s foremost political base.

He added they were on their way out because of the constant frustrations, rejection, and humiliations they have been subjected to in the party.

“Some of us have been embarrassed and betrayed in Jubilee. We now have UDA, which will be our political vehicle,” he added

Plans are also underway to strengthen the party to run for the presidency as well as grassroots and avoid the constant infighting among aspirants seeking Ruto’s attention

“It’s no secret. Our vehicle for the presidential race and other political seats will be UDA,” he continued.

His utterances were reiterated by Kimilili legislator Didmus Baraza who noted the DP allies will henceforth contest on UDA party.

“All hustlers will use UDA as their party of choice to contest for the various seats,” he stated.

This comes just hours after Jubilee party Deputy Chairman David Murathe had revealed that plans were underway to ax-out from the party, and further discipline the DP and his allies over their conduct.

“Those leaders pushing for the UDA agenda including the DP will soon lose their seats. Things are cooking, just wait and see.

“They cannot claim to be our party members yet they field candidates against ours. Maybe it’s time to review the coalition agreement,” Murathe told the Nation.
