Amid reports of a fallout in One Kenya Alliance with Gideon Moi allegedly bolting out to team up with Raila Odinga on the advise of President Uhuru Kenyatta, the Baringo Senator on Wednesday, June 30, held a meeting with Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi.
The meeting comes amid mounting speculation of a fallout in OKA after Gideon skipped several meetings organised by his One Kenya Alliance co-principals alongside Mudavadi, Kalonzo, and Ford Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetangula.
The meeting was also attended by Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, his Makueni County counterpart Mutula Kilonzo Jnr, Tiaty MP William Kamket, among others.
Once again, the KANU party leader reiterated his commitment to work with like-minded individuals for the progress of Kenya.
“We will continue to forge solid partnerships with leaders who share our vision for a united and prosperous nation where our people have equal opportunity to thrive in their economic and social endeavours,” mentioned Moi.
The leaders discussed ways of strengthening their union in readiness for the 2022 election where they will face off with DP Ruto who has emerged as a front-runner in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In response to the mega-alliance that ODM party leader referred to, Ruto noted that he is well-prepared to face them.
“These people are preparing but I am prepared too. These gentlemen will find it rough.
“We are going to challenge each other on the platform of issues and development track-record,” Ruto said.
