Details of DP Ruto’s plan to storm Uhuru’s home turf, during his France visit

In what is perceived to counter and dilute the influence of Deputy President William Ruto in Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard, the Mount Kenya bigwigs have on the same weekend organized a meeting.

The DP had this weekend on Sunday planned to sneak into the head of state’s bedroom in Kandara Murang’a County.

This will be his first Murang’a visit since falling out with his boss and being pushed from a number of government operations.

“Ruto wants to sneak into the bedroom because he knows the boss is not around,” Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu said.

Sources have it that a section of President Kenyatta’s allies have planned for a meeting at a hotel on Saturday in Murang’a dubbed as a development session.

“Mheshimiwa, kindly note that a meeting of political leaders from Central Kenya has been convened this Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Thika Greens Hotel from 10:00 am to discuss the progress of various development projects being undertaken across the region,” reads an invite sent out to leaders.

This was the second meeting having had the first meeting on Sept 18th, attended by 50  law-makers, with details of resolving to field a candidate for president in 2022.

The meeting came as Ruto prepared to storm the President’s turf on Sunday for a series of rallies after attending church services where he is expected as a guest.

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro said the people of Murang’a will be looking forward to receiving the DP and lauded his popularity among the GEMA people as he captures their aspirations.

“I can say authoritatively that Ruto is more popular than me in my constituency. He has been a loyal servant of the people and the people of Mt Kenya are well aware of the projects the DP through the Jubilee government has initiated in the region,” Nyoro said.
